LONG STORY
It has been a while since i've driven my car since here in IN we have too much snow. So yesterday i went out to start it and let it warm-up. Well, i go to back it up and it gets stuck in the middle of the road. After i realize it just not going anywhere i go to put it back in Neutral...i put it in neutral and it still goes farward, like it's still in first. When i put it in reverse, it just dies..like it's not even there.

Notes-
1.) I no longer feel that click when i put it in first, but its still there in every other gear.
2.) Brand new clutch put in about 1000 miles ago. Still seems to be working fine.

I appreciate any comments or help!!!
Thanks,
Jeff

most likely shifter linkage is loose and needs some tightening up. does your shifter feel a little sloppy?

The shifter feels good as usual. I just no longer get that click when i go into first.
Thanks for all the help guys. I'm actually supposed to drive to LA. next week which i'm very much looking forward to getting out of the snow!

I'll go out and check the shifter for play. I was kinda cold while i was doing my clutch so i may not have got the bolts as tight as i had thought.

*Update*

I finally got a chance to go look at it today. I can put it in 1st and 2nd and take off. But as soon as i put it in any other gear it bogs and dies?

Any help or comments are appreciated!!
Thanks!
Jeff

*Edit*
I was told on the forum that a frequent( DSM forum) that .....
My guess is you prolly broke the shift fork for 1 & 2 and the tranny is stuck in 1st. When you go into reverse and let the clutch out, the tranny is in 2 gears at once and is locked up thereby killing the engine.
Does that sound possible?
