Default Diablo chip for s/c

Hey,

The blower I bought comes with a diablo chip, does that mean I need to get a diablo tuner or can an SCT guy redo the program on an SCT chip?

Hey,

No but the tuning shop I will be going to is an SCT shop. I guess I'll just call them Tues and ask how to handle it.

that's what i would do, almost all mustang tuners use the xcalII

No, I was looking ata mongoose, I got a used Vortech and it has a diablo chip that the guy sent with it. I will prolly use that to get to the tuners then start from scratch on a SCT.

Keep your stock 'chip'.

Buy an SCT to tune @ the dyno.

Hey,

Yes I am staying npi, but with manifold and blower cams and all boltons.

If I leave my stock chip in, after I install the Vortech how do I drive it to the dyno shop? Won't all the timing and air mixtures etc be all out of whack.

stay out of boost

better to drive on your stock tune than someone else's tune
