I used dupli-color products that you can buy anywhere. All i did was lightly sand the original paint, 3 coats of primer, 3 coats of matte black, 3 coats of clear coat. The as soon as i finished the final coat i took off the tape to make the edge of the paint a really sharp line. Took like maybe40 min to actually paint. It took about 45 to tape everything off and tape the around the curves (wich was the hardest). Was really easy, im just hoping that the paint wont chip after a long time of rocks flying up etc.
Yeah i was worried about overspray. I touched up my front bumper while it was on the car a while ago and i got some of the clearcoat on my hood and it took forever to get it smoothe again. So i figured id better be safe than sorry
nice! the lights look better on a stang than i thought, there a great improvement in lighting?
Hell yeah. With the hid's its unbelievable at night. Thats the only reason i got the projectors, honestly dnt like them as much as my blackouts i had on b4. But the lighting makes it worth it
Did you paint your taillight mid section too? I always wanted that part to be flat black... I was looking for the OEM peice but I like the smooth peice better I think..
