Default Ok, something weird happening

I went to my garage to start up my stang and let it run a little, and it would start, but without me stepping on the gas it would turn right off. There have been a few mice in my garage, so I wonder could they have chewed on a wire? Or is something dirty in my engine because it sits all winter? It did the same thing before winter too, and I took it into a shop and I think they said they cleaned out my throttle body, but I dont remember for sure. Any ideas?

iac valve... the little bolted on piece on the fornt of your tb/plenum. mine did the same thing. i went to ford and ordered a new one for like 160. install is a breeze...just unbolt the old one, remove it and the old gasket, put the new valve and gasket on and bolt it up its that easy...only simple hand tools needed. hope that helps.

ultimatly your just going to have to get a new one a replace it. it may quit for a while and you think its fixed but believe me its not.

That definitely sounds like it is an IAC valve. Mine did the same thing and the part isn't too expensive like redgt said.
