Summer Tires
Now that winter is coming to an end I am looking for tires to replace my stockers. Still going to be sticking with stock size of 245/45R17. I want the tires to be good on dry asphalt but also in the rain. Also do not want to spend a whole lot of money on them either, any suggestions?
well in all honesty, there's no such thing as a good, cheap tire. However, if i had to recommend any brand, I'd say Kumho. I'd stay away from Nittos if your car is a DD. The tire life on Nittos is terrible b/c it is such a soft compounded tire, you'll be lucky to get 15,000 miles out of them if you drive like a grandma.
I LOVE MY BFG KDW2's...I have been through tires and they are the best for dry/rain...they actually grip pretty good at the strip and shine on the road cours.....as long as you put the right PSI in them.
not to hijack the thread but im also lookin for new meats for summer....with my stock 17 inch rims whats the largest i can get in the back 275? also i have kuhmos on there now....cheap and so far so goood. traction isnt to bad and the tread life so far has been ok....i have about 10 k on them now and still look good
