Im still considering some different exhaust setups..... What is the difference between the magna packs and the actual magnaflow catback? Which sounds better? What would sound better coupled with an O/R X pipe? I found a good deal on these so i may get these instead of the borla.... I just cant seem to find a clip of either one with just an O/R X so let me know.

the regular magnaflows are a chambered design, i think they're a good choice if you don't want anything too loud but the 'packs on the other hand are a crazy loud, straight-through design. most guys say they sound best with an X pipe but personally, i think they sound great with either

Regular magnaflows have no chambers or baffles. They are packed more with sound deadening material.

Magnapacks are fully straight & packed with fiberglass.

The important thing is that they are the same performance-wise, at least they are according to Magnaflow.

I don't like the sound of O/R X's so I would say neither. The MagnaPacks are significantly louder than the regulars, simply because the regular is a full-size muffler. Both are straight through design. I know the regular catback has a nice rumble down low and screams at WOT. They sounded good N/A and sound even better with FI.

If you want loud, the MagnaPacks are for you.

If it's for a 99-04 GT, go to hottexhaust.com and buy the MagnaPacks for $469.99. Use 'fordtruck8' as the coupon code and it shows up to your door for $357.19.

The magnapacks are much louder. We offer Magnaflow discounts to Mustangforum members as well. Just email us with a part # for a quote.

Thanks!
