I have a 2001 Bullitt 5 speed ofcource.. i bought the royal purple synchromax fluid.. i went to the shop today to get the fluid changed and the guy had questions to which i dont have the answer... will it mess it up if i just drain the old fluid and add the new fluid... or do i need to flush it to be safe?!?

A manual is deifferent from automatics where the Torque converter stores most of the fluid! I'm not sure if there is a drain for the T-45's or if you have to siphon that sh.t out?? I haven't crawled underneath to get mine done yet! You should be fine if you drain the old out and put the new in! I haven't heard many good things about purple in those trannys??

Just drain it out and refill it. Theres two plugs on the side of the t45. Take them out, let it drain, and refill it (about 3.25 quarts). Very easy.
