96 cobra rear fact or fiction?
Is it true that a 96 Cobra solid rear axle is 1.5 inches narrower than a stock 8.8 rear and means you can fit wider tires? If true it would be going in a 88 Mustang hatch to compensate for a pair of 285/40/17 in the rear. Thanxs
only difference is a larger rotor then GT and caliper relocating mounting bracket...thats it. Now the 96-98 rear axles are about .75" narrower per side then the 99-04's...maybe thats what someone was talking about and was confused.
