blew a spark plug out of the headand now i have a rod knocking (pretty sure thats what it is). This is my daily driver. Wasn't even driving it hard. Its all stock except for the suspension and exhaust. Now I need some advice on what to do with limited finances. There has already been a helicoil installed in the heads. I am at a loss on what to do......

 

Where did you have the helicoil installed? Ford will replace the head if you make them as long as you had them do the helicoil. What does the sound sound like that you think is a rod knocking?

 

the knocking sound is coming from the bottom close to the transmission on the drivers side same side the plug blew. Didn't have the knock till after the plug blew. I pulled COPs but the sound didn't get any quieter. I am assuming its the rod. The helicoil was installed for this blown spark plug. It wasn't done at ford.....
