happened after spark plug decide to disengage from head while driving...wasn't driving hard

 

yes sir thats rod knock for you probably bent the rod sounds exactly like what happened to mine and look what happened

 

I`m trying to figure out how spitting out a plug could cause a bent/broke rod.

 

sounds like a spun bearing to me.

 

not sure how a plug caused that. I was driving under the speed limit as a matter of fact.....heard and boom and pulled over immediately called for a tow mechanic said the number 8 plug was spit out. They helicoiled it and this is what it sounded like when when it started up

 

Use a stethescope and listen to the spark plugs. If #8 is louder then the rest then they did a bad job on the helicoil.

 

what should I do then???

 

your gonna have to rebuild it you bent the rod you should just be able to open up the bottom end and replace the the rods and the rod bearings
