Default motor falls flat on its face, Help

I just got this 02 GT 4.6 5speed last week. And the last couple of days the motor fills like it just falls flat, studers. It does it sometimes just driving down the road normal, and then other times it does it when I get on it.The car only has 31,000 miles.I think its the fuel filter,or fuel reg.,and now the service engine soon light goes on and off. What do you guys think. Thanks Tanner

ive had that on my 99 and it ended up being a misfire in cyl. 5. Does it kinda shake when u accelerate?

fuel filter or fuel pump but if ur check engine light comes on it could be a misfire in one of ur cylinders. Check ur plugs and coils before the fuel filter and fuel pump.

Depends on what u have it tuned for. If you have no mods and its stock then 87 should be fine

Go cheap first check plugs!!! Then change fuel filter!! Ill put my money on the fuel filter prob still has the factory on it.

Since no check engine light comes on i wouldnt think it would be a misfire!!

Then ur running stock so 87 is just fine. Unless ur timing has been messed with!

The only motor mod I see is a K&N filter,If you want to call that a mod.I don't think any thing else has been done to the motor.

it only needs regular fuel. i would go ahead and give it a tune up (plugs, fuel filter etc) and getthat code pulled
