Default et's with basic bolt ons

Hey all! I'm new to the site and i just picked up my first v8 (98 Cobra). I had it for a little under a week and installed 3.73's already. I was wondering what et's you guys are seeing with basic bolt ons (gears ,cai, header pulleys etc..). Or notable races with bolt ons. Reason why i ask is cause i felt like 3.73s did a great deal. Always open to suggestions for steps to take here on out. Look forward to the responses

Decent driver can get that car into high 13's stock.

With gears alone, that should help a couple tenths with the same decent driver mod. [8D]Full bolt-ons will get you into the 12's.

Like Dan said, the 96-98 Cobras are *though unlikely* posssible to run into the high 13's stock.

And as you said, I'm sure the gears did wake up the car, especially since they benefit more from a gear swap than would say a New Edge GT.

I'd think that with 3.73's, partial exhaust *no headers*, maybe some sort of intake, and DR's, you could run down a few stock LS1's with some 13.2-13.4 ET's on nice launches.

Have fun with it, and remember. 32 Valves are > than 16

Thanks for the response. I had no idea that LS1's can really give cobras a good run for the money stock to stock or even some mod s tostock! I guess i just don/t even really like the thought of that. Has anyone had any run ins with the SS's? Nice cobra vid.

I'm pretty sure the last SS's could run about a 13 flat stock.

13 sec flat!! how much horse is that stock? can a terminator take on a SS stock to stock? How about the z28's? Do they run in the same range as well? I had a little more hope for us FORD guys!! Nice pic by the way.

Sry bud LS1s are mean cars the last SS was i think 325HP and 315 for the z28s and they respond to bolt ons
really well too. You definatly need to respect them
