Default stock 04 gt rearend

Im sure this is a post on here but its easy just to ask again....

i am suoercharging my car with a vortech v-1 s trim supercharger in a month and was wondering if my rearend will hold up for about a year of driving with the mods in my sig.....thanks!

i heard our rear ends can hold 450 hp even with slicks....but they could have been wrong...

its not the hp that will kill your rear end, its the tq. If you have a safe tune and don't launch it too much you should be more than fine for a year.

You should be fine, the stock rear ends in our cars are pretty strong.

They were wrong.

With 400rwhp, if you ask it to hook often, its gonna bust. If you just let it burn the tires off, theres no strain on the rear, and it will prolly be alright.

u should be all right, ive been running slicks on mine and its been holding up fine...knock on wood....but u should look into upgrading ur axles and the diff. to a stronger unit in the future.
