Default K-member question

I need to change my A-arm and maybe the K-member out. Does anyone know if the stock K-member and A-arms off of an 04 GT will work on my 96GT. Seems to me that it should work but I don't know. I have a buddy that put a tubular front end in his 04 and I can use the parts off of his car on mine if i want. Also his is a convertable but I don't know if that matters or not. The chassis is the same for 94 to 04 aint it? Any info will help me greatly THANKS.

I would but money is kinda tight right now cause I have under a month till I get out of the army. I could probably squeeze by and get it but not sure what other damage happened when I hit that curb. I am going to bring my car by ford tomorrow if possible and get a estimate on how much damage it is and maybe go to insurance with it. I want tubular but was thinkin maybe just junk it and get a newer stang then go all out with it. Maybe Ford will be able to tell me if it would fit.

Well I did some calling to Ford today. The 04 parts wont work cause they changed them in 03. Just for a K-member(stock) it is $632 from ford, that isn't including the A-arms. So looks like I am getting a tubular one cause for the price from Ford I can get a whole tubular set up with coil overs and everything. I think I am going to go with an insurance claim on this. Just for parts not including labor it looks like around 2 grand. For that I can get everything aftermarket since aftermarket is cheaper then stock nowadays. Maybe this accident wasn't so bad after all.
