Does this add up to anyone? I rebuilt the trans about a month ago and replaced my 1-2 syncro and now I have to granny shift into 2nd or if I shift over 4k not even on the gas it grinds goin in. I havent gotten on the gas or anything because of snow and the car really has been in the garage. Did my syncros go bad already!?

 

yea...the T45 is a piece of garbage, but so is the TR-3650 so i have no room to talk. if i were you, i would go back to the place where you got it rebuilt and be like WTF.

 

im going and im also gonna demand a tko 500. Another question. my Clutch has been giving me hell. Would that be the cause if its not adjusted right? It doesnt do it in any other gear so i kinda ruled that out but i dunno

 

if its not fully disengaging from the flywheelitll cause a grind. also i dunno about your tranny, but the TR-3650 grinds like a **** from 1-2 whens its been sitting out in the cold for a while, and will keep doing it until it warms up. try changing your tranny fluid to royal purple or something. a lot of people on heresay that helps. i wouldnt know since ive never changed mine.

 

I have the synchromesh by royal purple in it now when I put the tranny back in. It solved my problem before my tranny blew up. But i dunno. I always thought if it was the clutch it would do it in all the gears

 

if it is the clutch it would do it in all gears, but since its only 1-2, its your synchros. just go back to the shop and make a scene about it

 

would it be possible for the shifter to do it? I put a wiretie around the base to help seal my torn boot. This is the first time I ever had a MGW Shifter so I dont know if it could be the stops or the way its pulling. I dunno, it would be kinda ackward for the shifter to do that

 

it wouldnt be your shifter. it the stops werent set correctly it wouldnt fully go into gear and would possibly pop out of gear, and again it would do it in all gears, not just 1-2.

 

yep gotta agree sounds like syncros. Well i guses I gotta put on my [:@]face

 

I have a T-45 in my closet. I'll send her to you cheap if you wanna try it a 3rd time.
