well tonight coming home from the gym, my car did the strangest thing. there i was cruising along with traffic when all of a sudden my music stops and the head unit goes dead, so i'm thinking "hmmm that's odd"and then the lights in the dash go out and the headlights get really really dim and then shut off. now i'm like "WTF,CAR!?" and people are flashing their highbeams at me and stuff, so just as i'm about to pull over, everything pops back on and the cd resumes playing as if nothing happened.

i don't have a clue as to what the hell happened, but the car was still running during this "brain fart" and it ran fine afterwards [&:]

 

Sounds like an alternator problem.

 

funny that you should say that, i just replaced the alt. last week

 

Id guess alternator too, but if you just replaced it Id assume its fine. Any belt slippage? How old is the battery?

 

the battery should be good and the belt doesn't slip, i'm thinkingit might bea bad ground somewhere.

 

that happened to me last friday i was hauling *** like a 4500 RPM's in second gear and my car just shut off the wheel got real tuff and my brakes got tuff also i pulled to the side of the rode i was like WTF and i started it back up and it has been fine ever since i have no clue it was wierd

 

well i just went out and tried to start it and nothing happened, so i popped the hood and see that the terminals are corroded to hell! it almost looks like greenish snow. well i cleaned everything up and it started just fine
