Got shorties here cause' of Delaware laws!
LT's are far superior!

Damn! I wanna get LT's! What about them won't pass in Delaware. I took mine threw with an o/r H and Flowmasters and the lady was asking me a million questions as to why my car was loud. They didn't do the mirror test though. But why won't LT's pass?!

Well I don't have cats on my car now and I just passed inspection a couple of weeks ago. Thank God for OBDII and SCT.

001Tropicgreen,
I myself have off road x-pipes. Do you think that would pass emissions?

Norman you are from cali aren't you. If you are i am pretty sure they do the sniffer test there. You need to find a shop that will let you pay them a little extra money to pass emissions!

Norman,
It depends on where you live. Here in Delaware they don't visably inspect the underside of your car unless they suspect that you don't have cats. They plug a OBDII Diagnostic Computer into your OBDII port and the computer reads if your car is "missing anything" or has anything wrong with it causing it to not pass inspection. The SCT Tuner I have turns off the MIL and sends a signal to the computer that everything is ok and working fine with the O2 sensors. **** my dads car didn't pass because it had a bad air conditioning sensor or something causing the MIL to come on.

Hey Delta, I got my car down in Georgia back when I was stationed down there. I love how there is no inspection depending on the county you live in.

Shorties are great, LT's are only SLIGHTLY better, if at all. As far as LT's and emissions, thats crap, they will pass emissions just as easily as shorties or mid/lengths as long as they have a similar mid-pipe. But why would anyone get LT's and run Cat's?

lt's areNOT emissions legal because the cats have to be too far from the exhaust ports and they do not get to their working temperature very quickly, at least thats why they are never fitted on cars from that factory. you maybe able to pass a sniffer test but they should not pass a visual. the O2's are also a lot farther from their stock location.
