Whats the difference between shorties and long tube headers?

long tubes= more horsepower short tubes= easier install,less horsepower. long tubes are also illegal in some states.

I think that you have to change midpipes when you go with long tubes also(not positive)

how much more hp do the long tubes make than the shorties?

just a few on a stock motor. but a ton on a highly modified motor. I have long tubes on mine and I barely noticed the difference other than sound and maybe a little more throttle response. The only bolt on I really noticed was the gears.all the others were just slight sotpdifferences.Saving for blower now.
