lower intake replacement
i was wondering if this is a good lower intake and i was wondering if it is possible that i can do it my self

Its a pretty easy bolt on. After you get all the stuff off the top its only 4 bolts on either side and it lifts right up. I've never done it but I watched a friend and another guy do his before.
Looks like it is just a PI intake with an improved crossover. What kind of car do you have? Unless you have a 98 and below I don't think its going to do anything for you.
The best I have seen so far intake wise for 99+ is the P-51 intake manifiold, but it is 1300 dollars.

I am still thinking this is not a PI intake. And if it was I thought that the PI intake required work to make it fit up with the non PI heads. Alot of talk went on a while back (including an artical in MM&FF) that said just the PI intake makes a ton of difference, and that the non PI can acutally be ported to vastly outperform the standard non ported PI.
Call them and find out exactly wtf is going on. It would be cool if someone acutally got around to making some sort of adapeter kit for the non PI cars to run a PI intake on stock heads.
