Default 2v heads ?

It seems like once upon a time I read that the heads off a lightning would fit our 4.6 blocks. I didn't think the lightnings came w/2v heads is this also true? So does this mean that our heads will fit the lightning 5.4? Also given that if this is true, wouldn't the supercharger off a lightning fit our motors as a direct bolt on? I am probably totally wrong, but I just wanted to be sure.

the supercharger wont fit because the 5.4 block is wider but im sure if you fabbed up some adapter plates of some sort, you could get it to work with a cowl hood on the car... i cant remember if lightnings are 2v or 4v...

Ahah! That answered my question, thanks! I was just wondering b/c I should be supercharged before the end of the month and I know I will eventually need a forged shortblock. I wanted to go with the 5.4 and didn't know if I could bolt up my heads to that block. The supercharger ? was just out of curiosity, I am going with procharger[8D]

not really.. i thought they did.. they use the same 2v heads as us too.. but like i said the block is wider... for the 5.4 they make conversion plates so we can fit our mustang manifolds on them... so maybe they make the same thing so you can fit the lightning blower.. yet i havent heard of someone doing this yet

There was a guy about a month ago that aquired an S/C from a lighting and think he was trying to adapt it to his 2v. Do a thread search and should find the thread..
