Default cams?

Is there a way to tell if there are after market cams in the car? My wifes car has a slight lope in it that we can hear now that I put an hpipe on it. My buddy has stage one cams in his car and you really have to listen to tell that the car is cammed. I can't think of a way to tell without taking off the cam covers and looking.

i would say checking under the valve covers.. or you could possibly ask the previous owner or check the computer for a aftermarket chip of some kind...

A aftermarket H pipe will make the car sound deeper and sometimes give it that stage 1 sound...

+1 on the H giving a little lopey sound especially with a chambered muffler, but without pulling a valve cover and doing some inspecting, your not going to find out for sure.
