Rear shocks

Just a question, can you remove the smaller, horizontal shocks from the rear without suffering in handling or ride quality?

They help with wheel hop so I'd leave em' alone until you replace U/L control arms.

I took my quad shocks off due to coilover install but a lot of guys take them off once you do aftermarket ca's like lizzy is saying. Dan
