Keeping my blown GT a sleeper.
How quiet are vortech blowers? I am seriously considering getting one this summer, but i don't want it to be an announcement when i pull up to a light or am cruising. If it is noticeable, what can you do to quiet it down? Can you dynomat the hood or something or will that trap heat? thanks for any suggestions.

I had no preferrence when I bought mine. You can definatly here my procharger whistle... I've heard the s-trim its pretty damn loud too. The sq is supposed to be a lot quieter and it is, but I still dont think you're going to get the 100% sleeper you're looking for.

V2 SQ super quiet....yes it is...barely hear it at idle, sounds like a vaccum leak...whistle....I had an older gentleman in a T/A 2000?..roll his window down and stick his ear out abit.....He was on my right side at a light....I rolled my pass. window down and asked "whatare you listen for?"He replied,"sure you got a supercharger in there?"I said aaaaaaa yeah.....He happened to noticed my license plate frame,,,,Super Charged by Vortech....HEHEHEHE....he drove away very slowly..Now That I have the x-pipe ..very difficult to even hear it at all..

if you just cruizing or coasting to a light you shouldnt be able to hear it but if you romp on it you will hear it theres really no way around it

you can hear it whine from the front of the car, but the back all you hear is exhuast... at idle, it whistles... even the SQ does... you cant hide that... but most people dont know what it is..
