Default Daiblo Predator Tuner...

just looking to get the most i can out this tuner.. does anyone know what the spark advance is on the programmed tune that way i know how much for i can alter it?

ALSO.. with my mods should i need to modify the WOT setting?

also the fan settings. what should i change in that section, IF ANY... im not sure.

one last thing... should i be altering the programmed tune or should i make whole new tune that way i tune from stock and not from an already programmed tune?

THX in advance

By spark advance, do you mean stock ignition timing. Because I know the stock timing is 10 BTDC, if you're planning on advancing the timing, which is probably a good idea to tweak some extra power, I wouldn't exceed 13 or 14 degrees, esspecially considering your PI car has higher compression than my '96 non-PI GT. The more advanced the timing, and the high compression, there is a greater need for higher octane fuel. You'll get away advancing your timing a couple of degrees as long as you run 93 octane.

you should advance your timing for sure, nothing past 14 as stated. definantly improve the throttle response. whenever you add a mod, the tuner helps you to get the most out of it. its nice to have it, especially after you spend that much money on what looks to be a gameboy

if you set your spark advance all the way, it will only get you to 12 degrees of timing. It is one downside to the predator. Change all the fan settings to get them on earlier.

I'm buying the Hypertech - It allows me to run on 87 octane fuel whereas the Diablo Sport requires 91.

whats the big deal-why wouldnt run 91 anyway(i can tell a big diff when i run 87 and when i run 91)- i mean you pay 25k for a car but then you dont want to pay the 15 extra cent a gallon for gas. [sm=wakeup.gif]

much more potential from a diablo chip then a tuner. take it to a dyno have them burn one for you. yes its more money about 400 for one plus dyno time but again more potential
