Default starter problem....

im not sure how to explain this but this is what my car is doing...........
sometimes when i start my car it starts quickly and strong, and then other times it starts really weak, sometimes i even have to try it twice before it starts. now, i just took a trip to Miami(from Tampa) and i had been driving for about 2.5 hrs and then i stopped to get gas and my car started really weak and i was worried all weekend, but then when my girlfriend took me too my car on Sunday and my car started right up strong as ever. now i was playing around today and i had the car running and the lights on and i was holding down the auto window controls and i could see my batt meter drop and i could feel the rpm's drop...is it my battery or my alternator??? hope this made sense, thanks a lot

Usually when the alt goes out it takes the battery out pretty quick. I would check all your grounds and make sure they are tight and if they are then take it to Autozone and have them test the battery and alt for free before you decide to replace anything.

my alternator has just started giving me problems i seriously think its because my crossover is cracked and it spews water into the alternator every time i give it gas.... i took it in the shop though and they told me that someone installed underdrives on the car.... i didn't even know it woo! save me $150

The fuel pump has nothing to do with the lights dimming because of mupital use of different electronic items such as lights, raido and windows.
