Default Installed P1SC need help

I just installed a intercooled P1-SC kit today. I put on a bullit intake,30# inj, and SVT fuel pump with it. It seems like everytime the car gets to 3000RPM then it feels like it is missing or it really doesn't want to pull. Will this be corrected with a tune or is something wrong.

If you seriously put a charger on your car you need to stay OUT of the boost untill you get it tuned...

A couple of very important questions: What spark plugs are you running at what gap? Did the kit come with a tune? If you are running stock plugs then don't drive it anymore and if you are running with the stock tune you should be ashamed. The kits from procharger comes with a diablo chip and the car will run fine with it. It'll be a little rich but it'll run fine. If you have the factory platinum plugs then you need to change them imediatly with a non platinum non iridium plug gaped at .035

I bought the kit used on ebay....it came with a diablo chip which I installed. The guy sent 60# injectors with the kit and when I started the car the first time it would hardly run and was black smoking like a mother. So my buddy had a set of 30# and I installed them and it ran fine. I am guessing since that chip was probably tuned to the #60's then I need to get it retuned. As far as the plugs I got NGK TR-6's gapped at .052. By the looks of it I may need to regap them the .035?? I wasn't going to run the car in the boost much until I got it tuned...but I did want to see some of the difference and I noticed if seemed like it was cutting out. Do ya'll think the 60# injectors will work if i get it tuned to them or do I need to buysome #30's. Thanks for any info.

My buddy just got a mongoose kit installed by MPH. On his way home he called me and said he was having troubles. He came straight to my house where I could look at it. I went for a ride and as soon as he got to around 3000 rpms it started cutting out. He stayed in the gas until I started yelling at him to stop. I knew as soon as it did it it wasnt getting fuel. He had a focus svt fuel pump installed and it was bad. I tested his fuel presure sensor first to make sure. MPH set out a new pump that day and I installed it. Car runs great now with no problems.

Don't run those 30# injectors you need to atleast run 42#.

The 60s will work just fine with a tune. Like oxfordgt said, you need at least 42s. Put the 60s back in and trailer the car to a tuner and get it dynod before you drive it anymore. You fuel pump must be working if it's flooding the car with the 60s. You do need to regap your plugs to .035 though. It will look like too small of a gap but that is the most you want to go.

As long as you have the car tuned properly the 60# injectors will be just fine. I have 60's and an SVT pump and I have a steady 12:1 air/fuel ratio at WOT.Plugs definately need to have the gap taken down to .032-.035. The .052 gap is what the plugs should be at in stock trim. The reason it was running so rich is because the car isn't tuned for what you have. Dyno tune is almost always a must. Some people's tunes that they get with a kit work out but they still have to get a wideband a/f ratio check on a dyno.

You don't nessicarrily need to trailer the car to the shop. If the car will run with the 3x pound injectors and its not running super funny etc.. just drive it REAL easy to the dyno shop and you can get it tuned.

So long as you stay out of boost and don't floor the car you should be able to drive it normally to the shop, unless the tune is so far off its simply running like ****. When your out of the throttle and staying under about 3000 RPM the car is bascially a N/A setup.

Whatever you do, do NOT floor the car again or take it into boost until you get the tune checked out. Drivinghard/into booston a stock bottom end with a junk tune is a nearly guarenteed blown motor on a stock shortblock 2v 4.6

04.. your running a 12.1:1 a/f? Thats a little lean isn't it? I have mine down around 11.5 just to keep it safe, but I wouldnt go past a 11.9 on a stock shortblock car, intercooler or not.
