Does 4V Block Work for 2V engine?
Sometimes I think I know and then find out I don't . I trashed my 2V on the first run of the season. A family member has a block out of a Cobra. Can I use that block? I'll be putting new rods and pistons in but want his forged crank in the block. I'll also be putting back the 2V PI heads and Bullit intake. I think I can, but thought I would ask. Thanks.
Thanks all. Yes, I found out by searching online also that the blocks are interchangeable for the most part. There are some minor differences and you can get some compression changes if you mix heads and blocks from different years. I'm just talking about using only the block and crank....no pistons. So, I'll use the Cobra block (aluminum) and forged crank, and put my 2V PI heads, Bullit intake, etc. on it. I did find out that most Windsors have 10mm bolts on the engine cover and Romeos have 8mm bolts. This is only important if you have a supercharger ( I do) with mounting plates utilizing these holes. Thanks again.

Remember you will need a new Flywheel if you go with the Cobra Crank. It's a 8 bolt and your 2V is a 6 bolt
