Went to the track tonight... :-(
Well me and a couple guys went to our local track... which is a 40 min drive from us... but anyway something is horribly wrong... i ran a 9.8 twice... back to back... 60' was like 2.3 reaction was fairly good. wtf is the problem.. .and if you think driver mod then dont even say it.. it was my first time on the track with a 5 speed car.. but anyway i was just wondering if anyone has any idea on what i could do to lower times.. my trap was like 70-75 can remember exactly.. but could the weather being a little on the chilly side have to do with me not being able to hook... i featherd clutch and it just spun through first.. i couldnt help it... and yes i stayed out of the water and heated my tires for about 5 seconds.. (street tires) but any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Practice the launch. You will get it, dont worry. Yes, a cold up-prepped track will be hell to hook on. Drop the pressure in the rear tires to 20-25psi. You should be trapping 76ish

First off you dont heat street tires... i think it makes them worse. Your trap speed was decent so you probably just need to get used to it! Practice... i need to as well lol [:@]

Thanks.. i figured that would be the verdict.. but what exactly should i be aiming for with a stock car? its got flows and 18's i know that slows it down.. haha but thanks ZW99GT.. i try and keep it as clean as possible.

I konw you didnt want to hear it, but alot of your problem is the driver mod...
your 60's are in the 2.3 range, which will come with priactice...
and generall, most of us have room for shifting improvement from our first time out even if we dont realize it..
those 60' times alone will bring you into the 9.0-9.1 range
keep at it, and good luck next time man..
