Car wont hold RPM Past 3500.. HELP!
My car wont hold an RPM past 3500. It sucks! It feels like the traction control is coming on. The engine feels like its hoping around. Then if I shift down to where the RPMs fall after 3500. It shakes and stuff until it comes down under 3500 then it'll run normal until I take it past that again. I think its either a compression problem or a fuel problem. Pleeassee help me out... Thanx

ORIGINAL: reelfast02cobra ORIGINAL: czwalga00gt Is the check engine light on? noob... Ok Mr. 24 posts. Check engine light is a huge tool to diagnosing problems. If its on you can use a tuner and just read the code, tells you exactly whats going on in most cases. |

compression check would be my guess, but i'm not sure.my instuctor told us that if the engine won't rev past a certainrpm then the valve springs are shot.
