Default cam swap

My next upgrade is a cam swap. Im looking at the stage 2 cams. Has anyone installed these? If so what were your performance gains if you know? I hear 60-80rwhp which sounds quite high to me. How difficult was it? I have completely rebuilt multiple small block chevys so Im pretty decent under the hood. Thanks guys!

what cams? stage 2 is just a generalization, but your not gonna get but 20 - 30 rwhp or so from any set of cams unless you already had forced induction or ported heads.

If you install Stage II cams you will also have to install different valve springs. I want some stage I cams but have yet to find a good price.

yeah stage 2 , meaning you have to upgade valve springs, is going to be a pain. near the drivers side rear of engine getting the tool to take the valve springs out is an ungodly act un-to itself.

your safe with that cam, stock valve springs would be fine - then again you probably have some mileage and it might be a good idea just in case. If it were me though I wouldn't, but Im just lazy like that.
