Default question about non-pi's

ok heres the deal....i know I JUST bought a stang again....but a friends father is selling a completly stock 98 GT vert.

I know at first they are lacking power until you do a PI swap which I dont know a hell of a lot about other than its a head/intake difference.....so heres the question

if i buy PI heads and slap in a nice cam.....could I put a KB in place of the pi intake? Ive always wanted a vert and im having such a hard time picking between ATI and KB for my 03GT that I was thinkin maybe ill procharge the 03 and 'screw' the 98.....but I dont know if you need any special adaptors or anything to fit a KB to a 98....*shrug*....im uneducated about this......fill me in....

I looked at those and they make them for the 98 but you pretty much cant run over 9 or 10 lbs of boost when you Pi swap because you raise your compression 10.5 to 1 also i talked to some mustang places and s/c my car and they said i should go w/ the Vortech or Procharger because those s/c arent as hard on everything as the KB's are. I think KB's are great for normal compression, but when your running higher already you want to be very careful especially on a GT block which the 98's say they can only handle like 450 at the most.

rough....

i've always wanted a vert and i'd be able to get it at a great price.....maybe i'll just get the PI intake and go from there....im just lookin at all my options....i think i wouldnt have such a hard time making decisions about what to pick for mustangs if i had two haha....that way i could build em both up and have them totally different.....we'll see

only 403? for the cost of doing a twin turbo i would hope to get a bit more than that.....i mean once you do the PI swap you're on par with a stock 99+ right?what i end up doing to it is yet to be determined.....im just kinda excited about getting a convertible for pretty cheap....and it happens to be a mustang lol
