i'M CURENTLY HAVING PROPOWER OF FT. LAUDERDALE BUILD ME A 302 STROKER SHORT BLOCK. I'M DOING THE REST OF THE TEAR DOWN AND BUILD UP AND HAVE BEEN IN THE MARKET FOR GASKET KITS. AFTER LOOKING AROUND THE NET IM FINDING IT HARD TO BELIEVE HOW EXPENSIVE THEY ALL ARE. DOES ANYONE KNOW OF A SITE THAT SELL KITS AT A REASONABLE PRICE? ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED. THANKS!

 

No one has any advice for me? come on guys i know some one on these forums has rebuilt there motor before and has seen the ridiculous prices on gaskets.

 

There shouldn't be any difference for gaskets that are being used on a stroker VS ones that are going on an unstroked engine.

 

just get a complete motor gasket kit... it cost me about 360...

 

thanks for replying, i was starting to feel like i was the only one on this site for a little while. This is my first build and i know almost nothing about what gaskets are the best as far as reliabilty goes. I get alot of my info from you guys on this site, local shops and of coarse magizines. will factory head gaskets hold up to say 12-18 pounds of boost? I dont even know where to get the answer to this question other than a local shop or on this forum. When i ask questions at the shop it feels like there questions are biased twords the parts and brands they carry in stock. hopefully some one has some info on this one.

 

were did you buy the kit from? I been searching the net for hours and cant find a complete set.
