Default Help me with catback

Well i got the old catback off the car...but i cant get the new one in. The axle pipe will not fit over the axle. It goes from the muffler to the tip only. It is unlike the mac pipe where the axle pipe is stopped over the axle, my pipe goes all the way over the axle...wtf do i do to get it to fit. Me and my dad did every angle possible and twisting and lifting the back end up. The car was on ramps. Will putting it only stands and taking the tires off give me the room i need to gert it over the axle ? please help.

i havent installed my catback but i actually just helped my buddy with a v6 put one on...we had to jack the car up from the back (with it on stands) on one side to get the amount of clearance needed so that it would go in...i think that jacking the car up relieving the pressure off the wheels will solve your problem...hope i helped

de javu.....went thru that hell last weekend. you got to let the axle hang, so jack the body up, and let the axle drop, then it slides in like butter!

I agree^^, thats the route I would try. Don`t forget to use jack stands on the frame. You don`t want the car falling on you while you are busy working on it
