Default Check engine light?? OKAY??

I was in a bit of a hurry this morning because the start of a new quarter at college and after school I was heading over to visit my mom until wednesday. I was in such a hurry I forgot my tuner so I could turn off the CEL becasue of the new o/r H pipe I put on it. I was wondering if that hurts my performance while it is on? Could I just take it to autozone and have them turn it off if it will change the way my car acts? Or would I be okay until wednesday when I get back to my dads where my tuner is?

i think the computer just defaults to its original setting, shouldnt cause any problems. why go to autozone? u have a tuner ,clear it yourself. im not 100% positive it the comp does switch, but i know it wont hurt your vehicle.

I have heard that it will retard the timing a bit.. it might cost you some hp for a couple of daysbut won't hurt anything .. just get your tuner on Wednesday and turn them off then.. Don’t worry you'll be fine.

So do you think I shouldn't just go to autozone and have them turn it off for free?

I seriously doubt Autozone is going to turn off your emissions sensors, that seems a little silly. All they will do is read your sensors. And no, there's no reason to get them to do it. It's not going to hurt anything. There's a never ending argument over whether or not you get worse gas milage, I personally KNOW I did, but it wont hurt anything.

After driving it a little more I have only one concern. As I am stopped for any reason like at a long stoplight or just sitting there with my car on the RPM's will drop to like 550-600. other than that my car runs great and sounds great with the new exhaust.
