Where can I get E5DZ-3K620-ABracket?
I have the problem (creaking steering rack) described in TSB 05-14-3 (http://paladinmicro.com/MyMustang/TSB-05143.pdf) for my 2003 GT and I would like to replace thepower steering gear tube brackets. The TSB gives the part number as:
PART NUMBERPART NAMEE5DZ-3K620-ABracket
Anyone know where I can get this?
Thanks.

Mr Knight (a member of this forum) has a really cool walk through on how to fix it yourself, I will probably do this but was interested to see how much the replacement part would cost, here it is if you would like to do the same: http://paladinmicro.com/MyMustang/Mu...ingRackFix.htm
Thanks to the man for spending the time to document this fix!!!

For those interested I did eventually find a website that have the part I was looking for: https://www.rsfordparts.com/
The part number was E5DZ-3K620-A. They are only $4.25 each so I amn going to get them instead of cutting the ones on there. Anyone have any energy as to whether I should upgrade the bushings while the brackets are coming off?

If you are going with the Ford tubes (and don't care to shorten them) then I would get a set of urethane bushings.Since doing my write-up I have had occasion to see the and measure the replacement parts, and found that they are only 0.065"or so shorter then the original tubes, which is probably enough to stop the noise, but not (IMHO)not enough to properly compress the OEM rubber bushings for improved handling.Poly bushings should do this, however taking 0.100" to 0.120" off the OEM tubes, or 0.060" off the replacements, will in essence accomplish the same thing as using urethane.

Cliff,
thanks for the response, I think I will go with the polyurethane bushings and the replacement part. It takes a special kind of bravery to cut up parts on the car to make them work better and I wouldn't be able to sleep at night! One more quesation, did you have to jack up the front to do the replacement or will it work on the ground?
Thanks

I put mine up on jackstands to allow the front wheels to move will manipulating the steering rack, also with my '03 lowered a bit more than an inch and have a chin spoiler it's unlikely I'd fit under there...
