Does anyone know the actual weight of a conv. gt 5 speed 99-04.I been told anywhere from 3300 -36??I know the hard tops arearound 3200-3300.Has anyone actually weighed there caris what im really looking for.

 

The NHRA weighs the convertible gt in at 3252 lbs...doesnt take into account such things as leather, options etc...but should be fairly accurate

 

Man i thought thats what the hard top weighs and the conv. is heavier then the hard top i thought.I guess i wont know until a actullyweigh it myself lol

 

My hard top weighs in the 3300 lb area...the vert is at least 300 lbs heavier i believe

I read somewhere, and kept it in my notebook , that the coupe weighs 3665, the vert 3780, a difference of only 115 lbs. That is curb weight.
That seems really heavy though, so I don't really believe it.
I do know that the vert is only a 115 lbs. heavier than the coupe.
I do know that the new Shelby 500 weighs in at 3995, one fat bastard.
That's why my vert is just as fast, if not faster, then it is.
Iwill try to find out the weight of the coupes and verts for sure, Christ it's the million dollar question.
I always thought that if you look on the doorjam, you just subtract the payload weight from the gross vehicle weight, and that gives you the curb weight.
I did that and the number was really high, higher than the numbersI quoted in my first sentence.
Lets everyone try to get this question answer once and for all!!

 

i weighed my car when i bought...bone stock 3/4 tank of gas. 3435lbs, no driver. I weigh it about 3 weeks ago with my mods on and some other stuff. 3360lbs no driver

vehix.com says vert weights 3429 and coupe is 3273

yes it has leather but it has the mach 1000

 

cool now i know the actual weight or really really close.With that weight i should be in the 12s with a good 60 time.Been wanting to go to the track with the new setup
