i.ve got a 2003 gt auto...main problem being its an auto. yea im feeling the other guy. but instead of asking someone to trade me (no offense) im wondering if there are any sort of rachet shifters out there to atleast some what liven' things up?

They just make a shifter ****, B&M makes the hammer shifter for our cars, it says it won't fit our 03's but it bolts in just fine, you just need to relocate your o/d button,,,, The best thing I have done for my car as far as being an auto is buy the diablosport predator tuner, you can adjust everything from part throttle shift firmness to WOT shift points, tourqu modulation, tons of stuff,,,, I can't wait to install my shift kit on top of that, with a good stall converter, It'll be better than a 5 speed aside from the fun factor

they've got a neat little chrome style handle. im sorta looking for something with gates and all that. i ****ed around in my buddys drag car and he's got a b&m quarter stick or street stick some **** like that but as far as i know they dont make those for the stang. atleast my year.

how much hacking if any must be done to the consol to get the hammer shifter in our cars. i seen one of those at advanced as a universal kit for like 200 bucks or something.

NO HACKING AT ALL!!!!!! Look on summit or Jegs, they make one specifically for our cars, it is a rstchet shifter. it just says they don't fit 03's cause the OD button is built into the shifter, all you do is put a button in your console or wherever you want for you od, it's a simple momentary switch

the one for 94-00 will fit ours, just doesn't have the electronic OD

NO, we have the aode (4r70w), but it'll still work, that picture is wrong to, I have seen one in a new edge, looks good, Read the description, it states that it will work with aode,,,,,, it's cause after 01 the od button is in the shifter that they don't include us
