$500+ for a header install? joking right

search some more. that seems like a mechanic is looking to make his car payment this month
Its a dealership and they arent even charging me full price. It should be costing $694.40, but they are cutting me a deal b/c I have them do all my work.

I'll probably end up nutting up the money and having them do it. Id much rather have them do it over some independant shop b/c I know they will fix their mess-ups if there are any. Plus they will give me some work on the house later on...

Yea I got quoted cheaper when I was going to put on shorties, but since these are longtubes its going to be a little more.

those prices were for lt's. i wouldnt go to the dealer their probally charging u 85/hr but its your money go to whoever you want.

Id much rather have them do it over some independant shop b/c I know they will fix their mess-ups if there are any.
im sure any shop would fix a problem bc word does get around

Not true at all. I have had horrible experiences with a body shop and "performance" shop locally. One body shop did not wet-sand nor buff my paint after an install on my old truck, and the "performance" shop installed my catback and midpipe on my car and refused to fix it when it started leaking from their mistakes. Both shops are still in business even though multiple people have complained about both.

It doesnt sound that bad.. But hell I'm a haggler and I weould try to get it reduced a tad Even 500.00..But then again I would do it myself.
Yea I'd love to do it myself, but I dont have the mechanical knowledge, nor all the required tools. I would be up for paying someone else to do them if someone wanted to come to central Ohio to put them on lol.
Yeah ohio here as well.I got quoted for a rear end install in cincinnati for 489.00.
Compared to the hrs involved on the two jobs that price for headers is pretty damn good
