Default cylinder head compression

This is my first post. Please be gentle.

I did about 10 searches to find this out before i posted this and I went through 70 pages of posts in the pipes, boost and juice sections.

I am looking at the kb intercooled supercharger and I found one line buried in their literature about the 2001 gt and bullitt having .75 more compression than '99. '00, '02, '03,'04. This doesn't allow as much boost or as much 'timing' vs. the other years. I emailed them and asked a couple of questions, this being one of them, they did not answer this question in their reply. I have read the mach and the bullitt having more compression but did not see anything on the gt having more compression.

Can anyone confirm or refute this info???

I cautiously await replies.

Default RE: cylinder head compression

I can tell you that either 00 or 01 (I can't remember) did have slightly higher compression. You'd still be ok for a 9# kit (well as safe as all the other GT's) - but you'd have to pull a couple degrees more timing.
