Tell'm you run 11's and race him

Bout the Cobalt, I haven't seen or heard of Cobalts running low 12s. The best I have seen was like a 13.3.

this kid in town owns a 2006 cobalt ss with a stage 4 kit and a full exhaust....he said he puts down 312 to the wheels, which i believe, but he runs a 12.1 quarter and he beats the 03 and 04 cobras...what do u guys think

However, unless the car is set up for straight line, drag racing, he is going to have a horrible time launching the car.
I had a 2006 Cobalt SS for 3 days, top of the line model, and I would spin the front tire(s) just taking off from a stop.
Same thing with the Monte Carlo SS cars.
Tons of power, but very difficult to control without significant suspension/tire upgrades.
There is no way he is in the 12.1's unless the car is gutted, like the other person said.
Then, *maybe*... and it's doubtful you would be seeing him driving it around town.

My auto weighs 4100 lbs according to the sticker on the inside of the drivers side door. Are you saying it weighs less and Ford lied?

that is not the curb weight. that is fully loaded weight passengers and all. kinda like the max load badge for a boat. rule of thumb is u take out about 180 lbs (not sure on the number exactly) per seat and that is roughly ur curb weight.

im assuming that 2003GT100 just doesnt know how to use the quote function.... cuz i didnt say that [>:]
and the only stang weighing in at over 4k is the gt500, not sure where u are getting ur numbers from. my 2000 vert weighed 3375, the coups 32xx, and fox hatches are around 3k even, with the notches being even less. not piggish in the least. I know they changed the foxes around every couple years, but if ur 85 weighs 3600 then u need to change out ur lead wheels, or maybe you have about 400 lbs u need to lose (trimspa baby
) hell, the 91 vert only weighed in at 3213. and the notch from that year was 2700. maybe they trimmed down quite a bit, i dunno.... Try as I might i was unable to find numbers for the 85 in the 30 seconds i was willing to look. but i doubt it.

Hey guys just look at it this way, no matter how fast his car is or what ever "SS" bs it says, its still a Cobalt [:'(], and well thats all I have to say about that. lol Thats the way you gotta look at the srt 4's no matter how fast it is, its still a neon. Having an awesome cartakes alot more than just speed.
