Default Starter clearence problem

I finished up putting my motor back together on wednesday and had it towed to get the headers put on. I went down to pick it up today and the guy hands me a bolt and says he can't get the top bolt in the starter motor. I was like umm ok well then you should try. He said I needed a shorter starter and I was told by a few people that with the Mac LTs you don't need to.

Also I had to by pass the heater core cause I broke the out line and I was doing it in front of their shop and the guy has the nerve to yell at me for putting a hose on in front of his shop and borrowing a flat head screw driver and a pair of plyers. On top of that the power steering pump line was crushed by me while I was doing the motor work so they have to order a line and install it. It's 150 for the labor and 46 dollars for he line. I am pissed!

One good thing out of all of this... my motor started right up and sounded good. First time I ever put a motor together and it actually worked. I owe it all to MFers helping me out. Thanks guys.

Thanks man, I have been going threw with drawl without my car. I can't wait to get it back either tomorrow or monday. Kinda pissed about the shop owner yelling at me, a customer, for no reason.

The guy told me the bolt wasn't in when I took the car to them, so apparently the top bolt hasn't been in the car for a while. Also I am apparently missing 2 bolts in the bell housing. Prolly from when I had my clutch installed.

Yeah, ACA. I was shocked because the father is usually a really nice guy.I called him a few times for advice and he helped me out. It's not like I asked them to put the hose on for me. I did it because it was leaking coolant everywhere so I didn't want them to have to deal with it. The total for the LT install was 270 because they charged me 20 bucks for new bolts. I gave them bolts that came with the headers but idk why they didn't use them. Still 270 isn't bad at all for LT install. They are replacing the power steering line for me. It's 46 for the line and 150 for labor.

Have you gotten any work done from them?

Oh ok. Yeah, I'll get a better exhaust clip of the open headers when I actually get the car home. I'm gonna use 2000GT4.6s idea and use my dads old V6 rims and tires and light them up.

Heres the clip btw
