Default Rear shocks maybe bad?

For the longest time my car has been making alot of noise going over speed bumbs and even pot holes in the road. I checked my exhaust and it doesnt rub on anything. Is it possible that my rear shocks need to be replaced with stiffer ones? What kind would you suggest?

well how many miles on your car?? You really shouldnt need new shocks until like 50000 or 75000.

It really depends on the road surfaces the car has been drivin on.
Emanpimpster, what kind of noises? My guess is that it is a bushing of some sort or maybe a spring isolator.

Check you sway bar. I had the same problem, thought it was my shocks but after closer exam, it turned out the sway bar was broke around one of the bolts on the passenger side.
