Default Steeda Timing Adjuster

Worth it? Hard to install? Does it only work with steeda underdrive pullies? Will the timing lower the overal life of my engine?

I think I read in Steeda's catalog that it does work with the OEM crank pulley. What it does is let you adjust the base, mechanical timing of the ignition--the part the PCM doesn't know about and assumes to be 10° BTDC (IIRC). It's only needed and useful if your engine is a long way away from stock, to the point that engine life is a very far distant consideration as compared to maximising power output...

just found this sight. 10hp and 25lb ftwith steeda underdrives and steeda timing adjuster on a stock mustang. I know my car is npi but i dont think that would affect my numbers with this mod that much. Anyone use the timing adjuster?

i have one on my car couldnt realy tell a difference but i did have to set it back to 0 when i installed the diablo tuner, so it just looks fancy now, i suggest getting the tuner if you want to play with your timing plus it will come in a lot more handy later down the road if you do more to it
