Default Engine block Heater

I have a engine block heater on my car and was wondering if i could leave it plugged in at all times. It really comes in hand in the cold weather. No more waiting for the car to warm up.

I dont think it would hurt anything. What tempature is it there? My stang is plugged in all the time because its -30 degrees celcius here right now. If i dont plug it in im screwed.

If you are talking about a circulating water heater in the block, then it won't hurt to leave it plugged in. I lived in Alaska for a number of years, and left mine plugged in without a problem. But, if you are talking about an oil heater, then it will cook the oil.
