Default Keyless Entry

Ok i was told that if i take the panel off in the trunk on the driver side, i would find the module for the keyless alarm. I found something back there but dont knw if thats it can someone give me a description of it cause i want to knw if mine has keyless so i can get the remote. and do most 02 GT's come with them?

I believe the keyless entry was stock on all mustangs. I have an '02 GT and it has it.

Yes, it was standard. Get a key fob for $7 from Ebay, google for programming instructions.

For yours, get in the car and close all the doors. Insert your key in the ignition. Turn it to the ON position (not to the point where it starts). Now turn it ON and back OFF 8 times in a row within 10 seconds ending in the ON position. Your door locks should lock and unlock, then all you do is push a button on the key fob. The doors will lock and unlock. Now turn the key to the OFF position and enjoy your new keyless entry.

Also, if you have more than 1 key fob, you should program them all at the same time... I believe you have 20 seconds to push a button on each one to store them in the memory of your keyless entry system. You can have up to 4 fobs.

Yeah, its cake. A dealer would charge you $60+ to do it, so it is definately worth doing yourself. It was slightly more involved for my 98, but they changed the way they did things in 99, so you are good to go.
