What do I have to cover before I clean my motor?

You should cover the power dist box and alternator. Try not to use much water around the coil packs.

When I detailed my truck engineit was cold. (Do not run it with degreaser on it)Covered the power dist box and alternator.Sprayed it with degreaser, rinsed after 10 minutes, then used an air hose to blow off most of the water then towel dried the rest. After it was all dry I sprayed on the CD-2 engine detailer. Heres how it looked before and after.

That's a huge difference! I use ArmorAll on some of the black parts. Where did you get the engine detailer? Just an auto parts store?

CD-2 is getting hard to find. I picked it up at murrays auto parts. You can find it online somewhere if you google it. Autozone used to have it but they sell one similar to it nowmade by black majic. Not sure how good it is though.

I miss CD2. I used to use it when it came in a 2 can set...one was a cleaner, the other a detailer. It's simply the best I have ever used. I tried the Black Magic and I don't like it. I have tried to find CD2, but no luck.
