Clean your maf, replace fuel filter, swap plugs, check out the TPS and your clutch cable.... and see if that does it for you.

I was also thinking it ws my MAF cause while I had the motor apart I had my intake sitting in my garage and someone must have put it on the floor. We had a nor'easter back in march or early april and the garage flooded getting my intake wet. I have that same chugging problem and now I am thinking my MAF got wet. How much is a new MAF?

I had a similar problem only when crusing. my car would surge and feel like somthing locked up for a split second i was so parinoid I thought my diff was locking up or a ujoint was effin up but it turned out to be my airfilter needed cleaning i guess the maf sensor is really pickey on my stang.

its the ecmi believe that tells the t/c to do it. if you want it to get fixed get an aftermarket tuner and change the shift points or shift speed.

So can we have a clear understanding on what it might be? i have an 03 Gt auto and it chugs like that in third gear, i ordered a CAI and a SCT tuner, will this fix it? the shift points really suck from the factory!

my car does the same thing and its freakin annoying. doesn't seem to affect performance, but then again who knows its been doing it ever since i put on my new heads a year ago. i've cleaned the maf, changed plugs, new air filter, checked coil packs, have gotten a tune, and a couple of other tihngs. nothings fixed this. my question is could an upsteam exhaust leak cause something like this???
