You have been severely mis-informed pal. That statement is 100% untrue. The only way he will drop a valve because of exhaust modifications, would be from running open HEADS, not HEADERS.

The FACT is, TIME and TIME and TIME again, it'll never be proven wrong...the LESS back-pressure you have through your manifolds/headers, the MORE HP you will see. As long as you aren't running open heads, you have NOTHING to worry about. Back pressure is the ENEMY!!!!!!!!!!!! <img border="0" src=smileys/smiley17.gif border="0">

Adding Edelbrock shorties to my 3rd gen Iroc-z was a winter project, I even took her for spins with open shorties in 40 degree weather...she went 3 months before I had an exhaust bolted up. Didn't hurt a thing, and never would have.<edited><editID>Dan02GT</editID><editDate>37856.1913888889</editDate></edited>
