Pulling a engine on a 4.6 1997
Thinking about doing the work on my 97 saleen and I was wondering if pulling the engine is as big a task as it looks like.
I have done LOTS of this kind of stuff only older 70's and 80's stuff.
Have lots of tools
Input??
Thanks all
Paul

Its easier to pull the engine on a 2v than to take it apart. Nothing really different so far as taking it out compared to almost any other car.
If your going to pull it out, put something in there to make it worth it though... PI 2v or a 4v ftw.

It completely depends on how comfortable you are with that kind of work. It's nothing short of unhooking and unbolting things, then yanking it out, but you have to be careful to remember how to put everything together. I honestly don't think pulling an engine is too hard, just take a LOT of pictures before of everything, mark wires, sort bolts into bags, and have a good manual with you to put it back together and you'll be fine. Once you've done it a few times you'll be able to do it with your eyes closed.
