my girlfriend had hers painted flat black and we havent had any problems yet. no scratching or anything like that. either way since its a mach 1 i say leave it alone

If you do, paint it "matte" instead of acutal flat. I was told that the flat will have alot of problems with scratching etc, and the matte looks exactly the same.

Cobra R spoilers are only OK on actual Cobra R's. And only because it came with it. It looks stupid, actually.
And a Mach 1's one of those cars where you kinda want to keep it stock on the exterior. It was styled after the classic Mach 1's, so it's cool the way it is. If I owned a Mach 1 the only thing I'd ever change are the wheels, cause I hate the Mach 1 wheels.
